The Graduate...

Back at the end of July, Evie's nursery held a graduation ceremony for the pre-school children who would be leaving to start school in September. I just about managed to hold back the tears!

I love doing this kind of layout; recording what the kids can do at points in their lives.

I did this one a couple of weeks ago and loved how it all came together. After watching Lou use a tag the other week at out mini-crop, I felt inspired to pinch her style!



The journalling reads:

You are obsessed with Fireman Sam and have a special dance for the song.

You love role play: you set up accidents with your toys so Fireman Sam can come and help!

You sleep in a proper bed and no longer have a dummy.

You sing along to your favourite theme tunes: Postman Pat, Bob the Builder, Peppa Pig, Thomas the Tank Engine etc…

You like playing cricket, football and rugby in the garden.

You and Evie love playing (and fighting!) together.

My recent spell of creativity may well come to an end this week though. After just over two years away from the classroom, I start a new teaching post tomorrow. I'm excited about the new challenge but also know that a lot of my time will be taken up with work. One of my favourite parts of my job though is making displays and I already have grand plans for a huge volcano erupting all over the back of my classroom and a desert island role play area complete with sand pit for the beach. I have to get my crafty fix somehow!
