A small TOOT!

Forgot to say yesterday that I have won a competition!

It was on Papermaze's blog, Scrap, Paper, Scissors, and you had to use KI Memories Pop Culture papers on a layout. Very chuffed to be chosen as the winner :D

Daddy's Girl...

Spent the week getting up to date; with sleep, with spending time with my daughter, with recouperating from another cold and with finishing off projects that were extremely overdue. (huge apologies to my cj group for getting so behind).

Can't believe that it's nearly time to go back to work. Came home with a mountain of marking which I'm yet to tackle. There's always next week ;)
I normally moan about DH wanting to stay in on Saturdays to watch rugby but I'm quite happy for this to happen at the moment as it gives me a chance to do some scrapping. So I put on the radio to try to drown out the sound of sport and have a play with some stash.

I received this kit

from Story of my Life a couple of weeks ago and the colours and theme went perfectly with a picture I had of Evie and Graeme which shows how much Evie adores her Daddy.
One of the items in the kit was a bottle of glimmer mist so I wanted to see what I could do with it. I 'coloured' some white card to make the mount for the photo and the journaling strips and I also used it to add shimmer to the chipboard heart. This started out life as a page in a Maya Road chipboard album which I took apart, painted with a paint dabber and then added some glitter whilst the glimmer mist was still wet.

I also used the 'Love' stamp from the kit to add this word to the background paper.

(the scan seems to have left a strip of light across the photo - it isn't like this irl!)

Supplies:

Cosmo Cricket and 7Gypsies Pretoria patterned papers
Chipboard Heart

Glimmer mist
Doodlebug glitter

Paint dabber

'Once upon a time' Catslife Press stamp
'Love' stamp from Story of my Life
Ghost hearts

Alpha sticker
AC mini rub on letters
Glitter Thickers letters

Velvet brad and ribbon
Hambly rub on swirl

Journaling reads:
Once upon a time there was a little girl called Evie. She loved her Daddy very much. October '07

Thanks for looking and reading xx

more photos

All I seem to do is post photos at the moment. Well, here's a few more...we went to visit friends in Glasgow at the weekend and had a lovely time in the unseasonally warm and sunny weather.

Just a few more days before my holidays and more importantly, craft time!
