getting on with things

Had a very productive day yesterday; just about finished a cj layout and will post a little peek later.

I've also uploaded some pics to flickr ready to start Shimelle's class. You can see them at http://www.flickr.com/photos/littlemissscrapper/

Going out today to make the most of the sunshine but hope to do a little scrapping later on.

Oh and it's 'kit' day tomorrow - getting my credit card ready ;)

worth a thousand words...

Have you seen this yet? Worth a Thousand Words

I've just signed up and can't wait to get started and share my work with you.

Other good news: I'm through to round 2 of Masterchef!!!!!

So, lots of projects to get stuck into...

eta: here's my layout for the ribbon challenge round...

The journaling, which isn't very clear on this small picture, reads: You love playing with water and when I gave you this jug, you decided to water the plants!

Feeling 'quiet'...

The end of term fatigue has finally taken control of me...I am utterly exhausted and think I need to sleep for the next two weeks!

I have no interest in doing anything and especially not scrapping - I have a temporary loss of my mojo. One thing I am enjoying though is Harry Potter. I'm slowly plodding through it and have just under a couple of hundred pages left to go. It's getting very exciting now!

Voting closes tonight on the first round of Masterchef; keeping my fingers crossed...

Something nice to leave you with is the upcoming August kit from Cocoa Daisy. I'm not sure how I'm going to choose whether to get the kit or the add ons as they are all stunning!

It's a selection of Kristina Contes's favourite products and think they may become some of my favs too :)

hooray for holidays!

I've finally finished for the summer now. Another year over, another group of children to say goodbye to...

So I now have just over 5 weeks to myself - no planning, no marking and no raising my voice!!! Just lots of time to finish reading Harry Potter and maybe a little bit of scrapping.

Some of you may know that I'm taking part in a contest on the Spoonful of Sprinkles blog. Well, voting opens for round 1 today so head over there and check out the layouts.

Just a quickie...

It's been a very long day and I'm tired but desperate to read more Harry Potter...

I *think* I have a layout in this month's Scrapbook Inspirations. I did a layout for the Sketch Challenge. When I know for certain, I'll post a pic for you as it's one of my favourite ever layouts :)

Just for Nicola...

I'm very proud of where I come from and probably alittle bit biased but I think Scarborough and the surrounding area of the North Yorkshire Moors are gorgeous and I promised to post some pics for a peep. Here you are:

South Bay, Scarborough

South Bay, Scarborough

Ravenscar

Robin Hood's Bay

(I have some more 'wedding' pics to share too but only once I've scanned them in)

drowning in a sea of ribbons....

I subscribe to a monthly ribbon kit and recently been wondering if I will ever use even a small fraction of them. That was until the instructions to the first round of the Masterchef contest were revealed: use an unlimited amount of ribbons - I did!

So today, I momentarily lost my dining room table under hundreds of lengths of ribbon!

No sneaky peeks I'm afraid as it's an anonymous vote - finger's crossed!

Good and bad news...

Been a bad blogger since the weekend.

I was actually scrapping last night - need to finish that layout off later. I'm also off work all day tomorrow and hopefully will get to do some more then.

I had a dreaded note from Royal Mail though - I've been stung with an £11.90 customs charge!!! Not even sure why as I haven't spent more than the limit - shall have to wait until tomorrow to find out why. Looking on the bright side, I'll have some new goodies to play with :)

I love all things pink!

Forgot to say that I've finally taken the plunge and ordered a crop-a-dile. Pink, of course!!!

Some of you know how I've been pondering over getting one for a while but I borrowed one at the last crop and realised just how useful it would be.

Cannot wait for it to arrive - look forward to seeing lots of eyelets on future
layouts ;) lol!!

For now, here's a piccie to appreciate one in all it's pink glory...

Wow!!!

Well I was out last night so didn't find out until this morning that I'd got through to the next round of the Masterchef contest on A Spoonful of Sprinkles.

There are quite a few other names that I recognise that are through too, particularly Willow from my team on UKS and Lou from the Cheadle Crop - well done!!! Looking forward to the next round and finding out what we have to do.

In the meantime, here is my layout from the qualifying round:

Lots of French Twist and Hambly (again!!)

more little sneak peeks...

I am very excited about one of the new ranges from SEI: Ally's Wonderland.

It has a very retro feel (like many of their lines) and is simply scrummy!

It's a good job I'm going back to work fulltime in September - how else would I pay for all of these gorgeous new papers!!!

little scraps to look forward to...

There are lots of sneak peeks around for products being launched at the upcoming CHA.

I love My Mind's Eye right now and this new range looks right up my street:

little sneak peek...

Been working hard on a layout about me for the Spoonful of Sprinkles Masterchef contest. Not sure if I can share the whole thing so instead, here is a little morsel of my entry:

Totally loving French Twist papers
and Hambly overlays at the moment!

Thursday, 5 July 2007

Well, my working week is over now (hooray!) so I'm planning to get my new stash out and play! I'm starting off with a LO for the Spoonful of Sprinkles contest using a picture of me.

My only problem is which new papers to use?!!

Be back later, hopefully with some work to share.

more circle journal peeks...

Finally finished the inside of my circle journal and I'm really pleased with it. Don't want to send it away although I do want it to be filled up if you know what I mean. I just fear for it's life in the hands of Royal Mail!!!

Anyway, here are the inside cover and rules page:

This is my layout. Each section is like a mini envelope with a card inside that slides out with information about some of my favourite things.

By the way, see if you can spot the mistake in the lyrics to the song!
