After a couple of months of waiting, I finally got to see my LO in print.

'HAPPY GIRL'

This is my version of Ali Edwards's patterned paper challenge #3 - make your own patterned paper.

TOP TIP:
I experimented with using a versamark to stamp the flowers onto the cardstock and really like the effect I made.

I used:
PP - junkitz flowerful (hand cut title from this paper)
Various blooms and brads
Queen & co sequins and brads
Painted chipboard photo corners, stamped using versamark
Stamps - Banana Frog flowers and a large foam starflower

this made my day (and week probably!)...

I received the most gorgeous pressie through the post this morning.

My UKS friend, Nicola (floydypops) is sooo talented. Last week she had made her own book of inspiration which I absolutely adored. She's now made me one too. I cannot thank her enough.

Here it is in all it's glory...

Here's a link to the original

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

embroodled layout

Was really inspired by this American Crafts paper

to handsew some flowers onto a LO. Then I decided to outline the letters in the title with sewing too...it took hours and hours and hours to do!!

My top tips:

  • I drew the flowers on with pencil first and used a paper piercer to make the holes, ready for sewing. This makes it much more easy to actually sew as it is quite difficult to get the needle through the card otherwise.
  • The sewing around the letters is a simple running stitch and also blanket stitch on the 'f' and 'e'.
I'm really happy with the effect around the letters and would do this again. Just feel like something is missing from the LO as a whole. Anyway, here it is;

A whole LO finished in one day!!!

Really enjoyed the crop today. Managed 1 and a half LOs which is amazing for me as I'm such a slow scrapper.

This is all about Evie's love affair with Patch; her favourite thing in the world!

Scenic Route 'Laurel' Papers...

Received my March kit from The Scraproom last Friday. Loving some of the new papers, especially the Scenic Route Laurel range.

The flowers on the paper inspired to scrap a couple of pics of Evie from last summer: the flowers on her dress are almost identical to the patterned paper! I loved that dress and Evie looked gorgeous in it, although sticking her tongue out on the photo isn't the most attractive pose she could have!

pure natural beauty

Spent a week trying to finish this LO...

Evie 6/7/06

Used up some paper from the January Sarah's Cards kit. Also used my new Autumn Leaves Journaling Stamps which I adore.

Welcome to the world of Little Miss Scrapper!!!

Little because at 5'2", I'm pretty short.

Miss because it's what I hear all day long at school.

Scrapper because that's what I spend my spare time doing.
